Anahita Temple is an archaeological site in Iran which many historians believe that it belongs to the god of Anahita. Anahita Temple (Dokhtar Castle) is located on the eastern high hills of Kerman and has remained from the pre-Islamic era. The Anahita Temple of Kerman or The Old Castle is the oldest monument of Kerman known as Dokhtar Castle. Clay is the only material used in this castle. The remnants of Anahita Temple are the long-lasting prospect of Kerman and the wonders for the visitors. The buildings of this castle are divided into two separate sections. The first part is located above the relatively south-eastern fortress which was called Mountain’s Castle in the past and is separated from the castle, the second part is located on a shorter hill that is called Dokhtar Castle.
